Mobile: How to generate a wave picklist and do picking

Last updated: September 4, 2025

This article provides a step-by-step guide to generating a wave picklist and performing picking.

1. Go to https://mobile.leanafywms.com/ and log in if necessary!

Tip: or you can use the Leanafy PWA if you have that installed on your mobile device.

2. Click on this icon to go into outbound menu.

3. Click on "Wave".

4. Select the client from the dropdown menu for whom you wish to generate the wave picklist.

Note: This is a custom configuration that you can set up for your warehouse. If you don’t want to generate a wave picklist for a particular client and prefer to process orders in a FIFO flow regardless of the client, then you can request a custom configuration from the Leanafy Team.

5. Click on the dropdown menu to view the available carts.

Tip: The carts will be available once the entire picklist is fulfilled on the fulfillment screen, or if all the orders are being packed.

6. Select the cart based on your requirement.

Tip: The number of orders that can be processed is directly proportional to the number of totes attached to the cart. For example, if 5 totes are attached to a cart, then you can only process 5 orders in that wave picklist.

7. After selecting the client and the cart, click on the ">" button.

8. You will then see a confirmation screen where you can view the staged orders for that wave. After confirming, click on "Generate Wave" to generate the picklist.

Tip: Each tote is dedicated to a specific order, and all items associated with that order are placed in the corresponding tote.

9. Once the picklist has been created, you can open it to begin processing.

Tip: On the Picklist screen, the batch and wave picklists are distinguished by their respective names, which are displayed after the Picklist number. For wave picklists, the associated cart is shown below the picklist number.

10. Select the item to pick.

11. Scan the receiving location

12. Enter the quantity, confirm the UoM, and click on 'Pick Product'.|

13. A confirmation screen will pop up, displaying the order number(s) associated with the item, the respective quantity, and the tote where the items should be placed. After confirming the details, click on the "Pick up" button.

14. Repeat steps 10-13 for the remaining items in the picklist. After the last item is picked, you will be prompted to select the consolidation location from where you wish to fulfill the picklist.

15. After selecting the consolidation location, click on the "Set Location" button.

Tip: On the fulfillment screen, you will see details of which tote is associated with which order.

Tip: On Central: In the Picklist, you will find information about which picklist is associated with which cart, as well as which tote contains which order.
